thank you chaz for inviting me to this thread. i
guess we're supposed to post our own tips and tricks with doujins.
well, to me i always like my drawings to look alive and with much feeling. so
personally, i recommend observing the emotion being emitted on the reference
photo, like with copy works. ^^' and let the mind interpret what the emotion is,
here i believe technique is valuable.
i agree with the above posts, that understanding whatever the figure is
3-Dimensionaly by the mind is very important. that way the mind doesn't 100%
rely on the reference, instead it anticipates already the points that make up
the object. with this practice, is of inestimable value. i really recommend Bouguereau
because you can just feel the passion in that man's hands. no
one has mastered the human anatomy more than he did. <3 it takes time to
practice, though the good thing is with constant practice, the brain adapts to
human anatomy and therefore, adjusts easily with perspestives and such.
on a more specific note, with doujins i use .5 mechanical pencils, 2B/B lead.
because mech pencils almost always have sharp tips. i start
first with long strokes of light thin lines to identify the locations. once they
are accurate enough, i start refining the picture and adding more details. and
shading. also, i try my best to start at the upper left corner down to avoid
brushing with the lead once the drawing is almost finished. kneaded erasers are
great to with erasing fine corners.
well, that's as much as i could think of right now. if there's anything else,
feel free to msg and i'll post back here.
thanks again!
Quote by chisaikamehow about praying
about it.. i believe human beings are both spiritual and physical beings..
perhaps it is the soul that feels the longing for spiritual things such as
praying and thus being a vehicle to know what it (the spirit) is all about. just
my 2c.
^^ She's probably right... nothing like religious fervour to convince you you
don't need the real world and that true happiness is only to be found in prayer
and worshipping greater beings...
*Mutters something about cultists*
not the first one who have thought about it..
aristotle, thomas aquinas.. to name a few.. (these philosophers of old relied
much on reasoning before they have come to that conclusion, so implying that
praying is primarily 'superstitiousness' to (perhaps) discredit the idea would
fall into personal opinion/taste.. going back to the point, it's quite evident
that there's an insatiable hole in each person's heart that could not be filled
by any material/finite thing... and my first post was actually more inclined to
the word, "meditation"..(personally i use the word 'prayer' more often
though. ) to sherlain-chan: with genuine/sincere desire in your search, i
hope you find peace and happiness of heart, mind & soul.
i have to add this coupla more... Gunparade march Op Shinjitsu no Tobira.. ! and
ed theme of Shingetsutan Tsukihime "Rinne no Hate Ni..."... oo lovely
songs.. <333
how about praying about it.. i believe human beings are both spiritual and
physical beings.. perhaps it is the soul that feels the longing for spiritual
things such as praying and thus being a vehicle to know what it (the spirit) is
all about. just my 2c.
to me.. it's a continuous search for the Good, the Truth and the Beautiful
(Bonum, Verum, Pulchrum) in it's highest and most pure sense... further more, i
believe that man must encounter Love, as he is created in Love and for Love..
(not in a strictly romantic sense) otherwise life will be meaningless.. end of 2
c.
i think the easiest bittorent client to learn is bitcomet. well basically, the
number of seeders mean it is the number of people who has the complete file of
what you are dling. if the seeders turn to 0 then perhaps that is the reason why
it is stopping.
i've been looking for quite some time now for the lyrics of 'ashita wa kyou to
onaji mirai' by the band Gomes the Hitman.. i believe it is the 2nd op theme
from otogi zoshi the legend of matagama. it's quite queer animelyrics would not
have this in their db when it has one of the catchiest (cheesy to some) tunes
i've heard.. i would greatly appreciate it if anyone could provide the
lyrics/link for this song. domo in advance.
*with her best imitation of churchill* 'we will never surrenda~'
..*grins* no- manga/ anime to me, is just like a book or another tv show.. so i
don't see any reason why i should stop read/watching them.. for as long as it
reinvents itself without becoming dreck / appaling.. otoh, i do have faith to
the Japanese people.
nelo flanders from '93 TMS version of a dog of flanders.. i cry everytime i
watch it.. *will be depressed for a whole week for bringing the subject up*
i like the vocals of rivers cuomo from the band weezer.. especially in their
debut album (blue).. but he admits his singing voice changed as he listened to
more oasis i think.. female..- i love jewel's singing voice.. best, most lovely, womanly voice
i've heard in my life-! also only with her debut album pieces of you or rather
the enchanced version of PoY released around 1997.. ^^ i will restrain myself
from mentioning maaya sakamoto owns...-
Gravity by Maaya Sakamoto! :3
there should be in torrent sites. demonoid for example.

as usual, i love the delicateness and the seemingly feminine tone in your poems, Lotus-chan! will await more poems from you!
i don't know how to explain this but it is beautiful. you capture emotions so well.

niea under 7 for me.. ^^ i love the quiet, relaxing provincial atmosphere it has.. with a crazy twist of an under 7 alien which would be niea.
